In this course, we’ll briefly go over some core load balancing concepts, and dive right into implementing the NSX-T Load Balancer. Specifically, we’ll cover:
- The difference between the Native NSX LB and the new Avi Networks LB (NSX ALB)
- Note: This course covers 90% Native NSX LB, but there is brief coverage of the Avi LB/NSX ALB in this course
- Core LB Concepts (pools, virtual servers/VIPs, persistence, health monitors)
- NSX-T LB Concepts (components, where the load balancer runs, and more)
- How to implement NSX-T Load Balancing from Scratch
- NOTE: You must have NSX-T stood up already if you want to follow along. I do show you my lab details in this lesson (including my full NSX-T configuration), but I cover the deployment of NSX-T in my NSX-T Fundamentals Part ONE course)
- How to setup passive and active health monitors
- The difference between L4 and L7 Virtual Servers
- How NSX-T ensures High Availability of LB Services
- How to rewrite HTTP requests based on the URL and send them to a different pool or URL
- ..a lot more
