The LXC/LXD Deep Dive aims to provide learners with a practical knowledge of Linux containers and the Linux container daemon, considering both what we’ll need to succeed when using LXD in our day-to-day life, and taking it to a more advanced level for those harder-to-complete tasks.
We’ll begin by covering some basic container concepts, then segue into initial installation and configuration. We’ll then build our LXC and LXD skills by learning some day-to-day LXD command line skills, before digging deep into images and additional server configurations, allowing students to walk away with the knowledge of how to leverage LXD at scale.
Finally, we’ll finish out the course by exploring some common container use cases in the form of multiple hands-on labs that will test the skills we learned in this course, and demonstrate how we can use LXD as DevOps engineers, system administrators, developers, and other technical professionals.
