IoT-Based Smart Home Automation System on Budget

IoT-Based Smart Home Automation System on Budget

Description

Are you interested in Learning IoT home automation? Do you want to enhance your skills in building Internet of Things (IoT) projects? This course will unleash your skills and teach you how to build your IoT home automation projects using low-budget ESP boards and the famous Arduino IDE.

Build low budget IoT Web and mobile Controller to Control any device in your house via the Internet in a step by step manner

The ESP Wi-Fi modules are microcontrollers with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (not all models) capability, developed by Espressif Systems. It consists of many development boards like ESP8266-01, ESP8266, NodeMCU, ESP12, ESP32, etc. All the development boards can be easily programmed using Arduino IDE and can be used in a variety of applications like Home Automation, Internet of things (IoT), Smart devices etc

The ESP8266 is a system on a chip (SOC) Wi-Fi microchip for Internet of Things (IoT) applications produced by Espressif Systems. Given its low cost, small size, and adaptability with embedded devices, the ESP8266 is now used extensively across IoT devices.

At the end of this course, you will have a thorough understanding of it and get to experience creating your very own IoT Home Automation.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system that allows devices to be connected and remotely monitored across the Internet. The IoT concept has had a strong evolution in the last years and is currently used in various domains such as smart homes, telemedicine, industrial environments, etc [1]. Wireless sensor network technologies integrated into the IoT enable a global interconnection of smart devices with advanced functionalities [2]. A wireless home automation network, composed of sensors and actuators that share resources and are interconnected to each other, is the key technology to making intelligent homes. A “smart home” is a part of the IoT paradigm and aims to integrate home automation. Allowing objects and devices in a home to be connected to the Internet enables users to remotely monitor and control them [3]. These include light switches that can be turned on and off by using a smartphone or by voice command, thermostats that will adjust the indoor temperatures and generate reports about energy usage, or smart irrigation systems that will start at a specific time of a day, on a custom monthly schedule, and thus will control water waste. Smart home solutions have become very popular in the last few years. Figure 1 shows an example of a smart home that uses different IoT-connected utilities
