During this course, we’ll show you the basics of how policies can be used to add access control security to your AWS resources like S3 Storage Buckets, Simple Notification Services, Simple Message Services, and more!

First become familiar with the components of an AWS policy and the syntax of permission statements, and then learnt to use the web-based Policy Generator tool to rapidly build policies that you can deploy.  We’ll walk you through each step in the development of many different types of policies.

Get specific examples that you can use or build on:

  • Send and Receive Messages from  Queues
  • Read and Write S3 Bucket Content
  • Block S3 Access Based on IP Address
  • Setup an S3 Policy for Public Web Site Hosting
  • Restrict S3 Access Based on HTTP Referer
  • Publish and Subscribe to Notification Topics
